TEAMING FOR SUCCESS

Among the central features of modern organizations are the technical and human systems that allow plans to be implemented quickly and efficiently. There are many interdependencies by definition. The idea of solving performance issues by organizational design is a popular one, but not effective when it comes to creating lasting change.

KCA approaches teams as an alignment challenge; an approach that sets into motion communications on many levels of the organization. We create an open forum of constructive inquiry; a safe consortium where teams communicate openly and candidly. The right linkages to the right actions can occur when a team feels heard in both voice and action. When executives move from a task-centered model of managing teams to a leadership model gained from insight, the organization gains inspired, high performing teams.

The Teaming for Success program helps teams by tapping their unlocked potential and creating communication pathways that inspire high performance.

Month 1: Kick Off

o Meet with team leader to define scope, issues, opportunities
o Gather data via 1 on 1 interviews and online questionnaire
o Observe team behavior in meetings and similar events
o Review results directly with the leader
o Conduct workshop to discuss results with the team, set priorities, and design an action plan for change

Month's 2-6: Implementation

o Review action plan progress and discuss obstacles and opportunities with the leader
o Optionally design and conduct 2-3 workshops for the team around identified issues
o Provide ongoing 1-on-1 coaching for the leader
o Conduct 2nd team workshop at 3 months to review progress and if necessary revise the action plan
o Help plan team celebration at 6 months

Month 7+ Post Implementation

o Conduct final review with the leader
o Design go-forward leadership strategy
Optionally continue one on one coaching
